INTERACTIVE

WHACK-A-MOLE

My initial idea was to recreate a whack-a-mole game in browser, and possibly add components to it using skills learned in PComp.

I decided to also use the idea for a PComp final as well. After getting feedback from my PComp classmates, I decided to make it more than just clicking around the screen.

My idea is to project the moles (and a few surprise images) onto the wall in a random pattern that users will be able to "whack" with a real mallet.

Audio files will be used to add to the interactiveness of the sketch, with sounds played when the user hits a mole, when they miss, when the timer runs out, and when the score is shown.

feedback/notes:

I received a lot of good, consistent, feedback during my PComp class on Wednesday.  For the most part, feedback centered around making the mallet more squishy, and making improvements to the game to make it more interesting.

I've highlighted the suggestions I plan on implementing:

-> squishier mallet to provide more bounce-back and to create a less sharp noise.

-> different types of moles for variety.

-> a few flashy moles that are worth more points.

-> addition of noises when moles are hit or missed.

-> addition of different surprise images.

Suggestions I'd like to add if time allows:

-> different levels of difficulty.

-> reduction of points if moles are missed, etc.
